Skin Cancer

Updated:

Are some people more likely to get skin cancer than others?

Not necessarily. Melanoma is associated with increased sunburns sustained early in life and non-melanoma skin cancer is associated with chronic sun exposure. Both are more common in fair-skinned individuals, but skin cancer can occur in all skin types. This is why it is important to use SPF of 40 or more, year-round, regardless of your skin type and tone.
